Low lier
Content to focus on the others
No sense lying under your chair
I know
And the more you sink
The abyss resembles all the others
All talk with conciliatory tone
I know
Wait... there won't be an answer
Don't question the attempt
It's fate to get on
Why pick up signs projected by the others
Last time I checked this was a gamble
I know
Impossible to fit into the plan
Oh god they seem to be risking it all
Lie low
Wait... there won't be an answer
Don't question the attempt
It's fate to get on
Hey, don't balk yet
You have no history of seeing straight
Of all of the subjects
All those responses in your brain
You plead
"What if I'm wrong again 'cause synapses they are dead"
I'll say “The confrontation plays on”
You just gotta get off
But I just I just paid to get on
I don't care just get off
I just paid to get on
Ahhhh... fuck it
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Just awesome. Thanks for the Sharrock cover. One of my favorite songs on one of my favorite albums. Really looking forward to Big Ears this year! casarojo
